Chapter 6: Interplanetary Pranks and Zero-G Shenanigans
In which Ava and her fellow astronauts embrace their mischievous side and engage in zero-gravity pranks that are truly out of this world. Living in space can be serious business, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun along the way. After all, what’s life without a few interplanetary pranks and zero-gravity shenanigans? One of our favorite pastimes on the space station was surprising each other with unexpected floating objects. Picture this: you’re minding your own business, peacefully floating through the station, when suddenly, a rubber chicken comes drifting by. Or a floating disco ball. Or even a floating slice of pizza. It was like a cosmic game of “Guess What’s Floating By?” And then there were the zero-gravity races. We would push off from one end of the station and try to reach the other side without crashing into anything. It was like a high-speed roller coaster ride, but instead of rails, we had walls and ceilings. Let’s just say that not all of our races ended in graceful landings. There may have been a few bumps and bruises along the way, but hey, it was totally worth it for the thrill of the ride.
