Chapter 1. Waking up

Marie woke up in the middle of the night with pressure on her chest. She feels the panic enveloping her and she cannot breathe. She still feels the reminiscence of a nightmare and the feeling of deep loneliness. Like a big hole in her chest.
— What is it? she said out loud and alone in her room.
Is it what we call anxiety? She wonders what is happening to her.

She just moved into that room 3 days ago. She like her little one-bedroom apartment. You see Marie live and work on her beloved island of Jamaica. She moved a few times to be safe from Tucker, a mad man that whom she is in business. That man is also her nightmare and she wants out and her money back.

Tonight’s nightmare is so strong and the message is clear. She decided that it is enough, she cannot go on that way. In the middle of her bed. She cannot understand why she feels like the walls will swallow her. Everything is closing down around her and the ceiling. Why is the ceiling so low? It should be so much higher. But in her mind, the ceiling is going to crush her.

It does not make any sense, she chooses that room because of the space. The ceiling is like a cathedral design with beautiful wood beams. The room is big and spacious. She looks at her big dresser and walk-in closet on her right…
